Fansubs have developed in high-speed in the past ten years. The scene has developed software, communities and infrastructure to deliver new episodes to anime-fans who can‘t wait to watch them. Working methods have been perfected and in most cases it doesn‘t even take ten hours from recording a freshly aired episode from japanese TV to distribution in an English subtitled version.
While fansubs passed official releases on BluRay or DVD in speed and quality – although they are missing localized dialogue – they are becoming a threat to the business-model that depends on selling DVDs or BluRays.
Marblecaek wants to step in here and bring a new player to this distribution-chain: Online.
We have a background in anime-fansubs and always thought about ways to adjust anime-distribution to the internet-era. Now, we have finally found a way to achieve this in a way that pleases both, the fans and the producers.
Our team is currently working on finishing off paper-works and coding the platform itself. We hope to give you more information soon!
Chris
Chris developed the concept for Marblecaek as well as the basic design. He has a background in anime-fansubs and now wants to use his knowledge to create a platform where both fans and producers get the best outcome. He is studying communication-design in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Thomas supports our team by coding the search-engine for our platform.
Max
Max is a business-student from Essen, Germany and joined Marblecaek in early 2011. He is in charge of market-research and all the paperwork that comes with starting a company.
Johann
Johann is studying communication-design in Düsseldorf, Germany with a focus on film. He is responsible for both filming and editing our in-house productions that will soon be shown on our website.

You need to have very good experience with WordPress and its modification. You should also be able to create some nice and slender code to help use save bandwith and creating a better experience for our users.
Web Developers (Affiliation)

You will adapt different affiliation networks to our website and make it easy for our visitors to buy music and videos of their favorite shows.
Web Developers (Streaming)
HTML5, JavaScript
You need experience in working with HTML5 and combining its new features with JavaScript to create new applications for video-streaming. You should know a thing or two about Cloud Services like Amazon EC2, Akamai or others.
App Developers
iOS, Android, Boxee, Google TV, Facebook
Bring our service to more devices. You should be able to create high-performance apps for mobile devices and home-entertainment systems.
Translators
Japanese (native), English
While we love Japan, we only know so little of its language. That‘s why we need you to help us translate our website/apps to Japanese.
Content-Scout
WordPress, Google, Japanese (basic), English (basic)
Our database is thriving. But we can‘t fill it up all by our selves! Help us scouting new videos and filing them with information that also contains some japanese writings. But don‘t worry! With some basic knowledge and cool tools like Google, Wikipedia and j-talk‘s Kanji Converter, you should be fine! :)
